July is the month of the most famous cycling event in the world. It is also significant that some 90% of the world's most famous and important varietal grapes originated in France along parts of this route. Moreover, true Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, Loire, Rhone and Alsace wines have been the prototypes for most of the best wines of the rest of the world. Come try Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah made from grapes grown in their ancestral homes.
