DENVER RESTAURANT WEEK RETURNS TO THE FORT
The fifth annual event at the famous $52.80 price
Morrison, CO- The Fort is pleased to announce its participation in Denver Restaurant Week for the third year in a row. The event will celebrate the eclectic and growing Denver dining scene Saturday, February 23rd through Sunday, February 29th, 2008. The Fort’s special Denver Restaurant Week menu is available for $52.80 for two (or $26.40 for one), not including tax or gratuity.
The three course meal begins with The Fort’s Dinner Salad, a medley of seven crisp greens topped with tangy pickled ginger, diced jicama, toasted pepitas, and a peppadew pepper. Freshly baked Pumpkin Walnut Muffins and Sourdough Rolls topped with Sam’l’s Traveling Spice are served as an accompaniment. The main course features The Fort’s delicate and savory Bison Tenderloin Brochettes and a succulent Teriyaki Marinated Quail served with Roasted Shallot-White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. For the meal’s sweet finale, diners may indulge in a Fire Roasted Apple Cherry Cobbler topped with an oatmeal streusel and served à la mode with vanilla ice cream and lime-caramel sauce.
The Fort’s regular menu of favorites including buffalo, beef, quail, and salmon will be offered along side the Denver Restaurant Week prix-fixe menu. Served with a tossed salad, warm bread, pumpkin-walnut muffins, roasted shallot-white cheddar mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, items featured on the regular menu range in price from $22 - $52
Denver Restaurant Week is presented by the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau. Sponsors include the Denver Newspaper Agency (The Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post), 5280 Magazine, RSVP, OpenTable, 9News, The Mile High Chapter of the Colorado Restaurant Association, and Frontier Airlines.
The Fort won the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for the fourth consecutive year in 2007, was named a “Must See” in The Rocky Mountain News’s 2007 Dining Guide, “Top of the Town: Classic Denver Restaurant” by 5280 Magazine in 2006, and is listed on the National Register of Historic places.
