EASTER TRADITIONS AT THE FORT
Fresh Colorado Leg of Lamb, Coleman Natural Ham Steak, and Lulu’s Egg Hunt mark annual reminders of Easter and the coming of spring
Morrison, CO - Celebrate Easter Sunday at The Fort on March 23rd. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. Throughout the day, diners are treated to a special Easter Menu, live Native American Flute Music performed by Eric “Many Winds” Herrera, and children are invited to participate in Lulu’s Egg Hunt, an annual Fort tradition.
The Fort’s special menu items for the Easter Sunday celebration include a tender Coleman Natural Ham Steak drizzled with huckleberry gravy ($25 for adults, $14 for children under 12), and a Roasted (Left) Leg of Fresh Colorado Lamb served with au jus and fresh mint pesto ($30 for adults, $16 for children under 12). Both entrees are accompanied by Roasted Shallot White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Spring Vegetables. The Fort’s regular menu items will also be available on Easter.
An annual Fort favorite, Lulu’s Easter Egg Hunt delights boys and girls with brilliant, candy-filled eggs hidden in the courtyard of The Fort. Lulu is the 43-foot plume serpent sculpture that rests high on top of The Fort’s Red Rock and is a Hopi Indian symbol of water and prosperity. Children may hunt for Lulu’s eggs throughout the day, and can also enjoy a special Children’s Easter Menu. Easter Ham ($14) and Colorado Lamb ($16) will be added to regular children’s menu favorites Elk Chop, Chicken Strips, Fried Jumbo Shrimp, Buffalo BBQ Ribs, Quesadillas, and juicy Buffalo Burgers. All are available for hearty young appetites (under age 12).
