GOBBLE, GOBBLE
Celebrating Thanksgiving at The Fort

Morrison, CO Adding a hint of Early West flavor to the traditional Thanksgiving feast, The Fort restaurant adds a mouthwatering traditional turkey dinner to its repertoire one special day each year. The Fort’s annual Thanksgiving feast will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 22, 2007. In addition, a selection of The Fort’s popular Early West entrees will be offered. Advanced reservations are required as holiday reservations are filled quickly.

Executive Chef Trevor Dierolf’s Thanksgiving menu features fresh, Honey Roasted Natural Turkey Breast accompanied by all of the holiday favorite side dishes: Roasted-Shallot Mashed Potatoes, sweet Fire-Roasted Maple Yams, Traditional Homemade Stuffing with Cinnamon Roasted Apples, rich Giblet Gravy, Minted Creamed Peas and Onions, and Cranberry Relish with Orange Zest. For dessert, The Fort will serve homemade Indian Hills Pumpkin Pie, a delicately spiced holiday confection. This prix fixe Thanksgiving Dinner is available to adults for $35 and to children for $18. A limited menu of Fort favorites including buffalo, beef, quail, and salmon will be offered in addition to the Thanksgiving dinner. Served with a tossed salad, warm bread, pumpkin-walnut muffins, roasted shallot mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, items featured on the regular menu range in price from $26 - $42. For guests’ enjoyment, The Fort’s Native American Flutist, Eric “Many Winds” Herrera will perform from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Fort won the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for the fourth consecutive year in 2007, was named a “Must See” in The Rocky Mountain News’s 2007 Dining Guide, “Top of the Town: Classic Denver Restaurant” by 5280 Magazine in 2006, and is listed on the National Register of Historic places. The Fort is located 20 minutes southwest of Denver on Highway 8, just north of the Highway 285 intersection. Reservations may be made at www.thefort.com or by calling 303-697-4771.
