The flowers will be placed upon diners’ tables, greeting them upon their arrival at The Fort. Also special for Valentine’s Day is Executive Chef Trevor Dierolf and Sous Chef Geoffrey Groditsky’s romantic Four Course Prix-Fixe Valentine’s Dinner ($60 per person, not including tax or gratuity). The Four Course Prix-Fixe Valentine’s Day Dinner begins with succulent Oysters on the Half Shell accompanied by a flute of sparkling wine. The Fort’s Dinner Salad, composed of a medley of crisp greens topped with tangy pickled ginger, diced jicama, toasted pepitas and a peppadew pepper, serves as a second course with freshly baked Pumpkin Walnut Muffins and Rustica Rolls.
For the main course, Chef Trevor Dierolf has prepared a delicate Buffalo Steak Oscar: a juicy 8-ounce buffalo filet mignon atop Dungeness lump crab meat and tender asparagus spears, blanketed in a decadent béarnaise sauce. Dinner is served with Garlic White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. For dessert, diners are treated to the Heart of Passion: a heart-shaped chocolate filled with creamy and tart passion fruit mousse—a sweet and exotic endnote to the meal.
The Fort’s regular menu of favorites including buffalo, beef, quail, and salmon will be offered along side the Valentine’s Day special menu. Served with a tossed salad, warm bread, pumpkin-walnut muffins, roasted shallot mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, items featured on the regular menu range in price from $22 - $52
